Stars in Alongside Night

Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) with me before getting into wardrobe as Dr. Martin Vreeland on the set of Alongside Night.
One noteworthy scene in the film is Dr. Vreeland receiving a Nobel prize in economics for saving Europe as America collapses, given by the king of Sweden played by David Friedman, the son of actual Nobel laureate Milton Friedman.
Also on the Alongside Night set:

Garrett Wang (Star Trek: Voyager’s Ensign Kim) holding up Brad Linaweaver’s own Mondo Cult 3 and the Zombies issue of Cinefantastique with an article by Brad on the history of movie zombies including the original zombie cocktail recipe. Both magazines are edited by Jessie Lilley.

The Two Jacks entertain each other. Tim Russ (Star Trek: Voyager’s Lt. Tuvok) plays General Jack Guerdon in Alongside Night and Ethan Keogh (Lady Magdalene’s Jack Goldwater) plays Dr. Murray Konkin in Alongside Night.

Gary Graham (Alien Nation’s Det. Matt Sikes, Star Trek: Enterprise’s Vulcan Ambassador Soval) with me and a Front Sight firearms trainer.
I hadn’t been on the set until this day at Front Sight. I’m the editor and was setting up computers in the production office.
Other notables in the film, but not pictured here, include Said Faraj from Green Zone and Sam Sorbo.
I’m looking forward to seeing this film put together. The novel by J. Neil Schulman was first published in 1979. Now its predictions seem to be coming true. Neil plays Rabelais bookstore clerk “Al.”
The solution depicted in the film of a peaceful informal economy replacing a collapsed corrupt system deserves a wider hearing not often discussed in other media.
