Others embrace the new capabilities, many of which will work just fine even without online access.

In a long term off-grid situation, where market shelves are empty due to worthless money, fuel shortages, disease outbreaks, or civil unrest, critics of robotics applied to local agriculture, “Do we really want robots planting our gardens?” might reconsider their prejudice against automation given the large numbers of untrained, aged or disabled people who still need to eat.
